titleOfInvention Process for producing tertiary aliphatic amine having long chain fatty group
abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for producing a high yield of a tertiary aliphatic amine having a long-chain aliphatic group which is excellent in color tone with extremely little coloration. [Structure] An amination process in which a long-chain aliphatic nitrile is reacted with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst to aminate, and the obtained long-chain aliphatic amine is reacted with formaldehyde and hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst. In the method for producing a tertiary-aliphatic amine having a long-chain aliphatic group, which comprises a methylation step of performing methylation, (i) using a carrier-supported nickel-based catalyst as the hydrogenation catalyst in the amination step, i i) A used catalyst obtained in the amination step is used as the hydrogenation catalyst in the methylation step, and an organic acid having a PKa relative to water of 2 to 6 is used as the cocatalyst. A method for producing a tertiary aliphatic amine having a long-chain aliphatic group.
