(57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for co-producing phenol and aldehydes or ketones from benzene and olefins in one step. [Structure] In the presence of a heteropoly acid as a catalyst and a platinum group metal or a platinum group metal compound, benzene and olefins are oxidized using an oxidizing agent such as oxygen. Phenol and aldehyde can be simultaneously produced by charging benzene, olefins (for example, ethylene) and oxygen as raw materials into the reactor and reacting. Moreover, the additional addition of olefins can increase the yield of phenol. Furthermore, the reaction is a highly economical production method with extremely low corrosiveness and low by-products. |
