(57) [Summary] [Structure] Cytochrome P-450 from Streptomyces carbophilus that catalyzes the 6-hydroxylation of ML-236B. The DNA encoding sca-2 was isolated. The DNA has amino acid numbers 2 to 41 of the sequence shown in SEQ ID NO: 2 in the sequence listing. It encoded a cytochrome P-450 sca-2 having a 0 amino acid sequence. [Effect] By incorporating this DNA into a suitable vector plasmid and transforming a host cell, it becomes possible to industrially produce cytochrome P-450 sca-2 , and the hyperlipidemia drug pravastatin It can be used for sodium production process. |
