abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To obtain an inexpensive active matrix liquid crystal display device having high transmittance by simplifying the pixel structure. [Structure] A channel portion of a liquid crystal driving transistor and a liquid crystal driving electrode are formed of a common transparent semiconductor thin film. This eliminates the need for a structure that makes electrical contact between the transistor and the pixel electrode.
