abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for producing an alkylsilane, which enables the alkylsilane to be obtained in a high yield. A method for producing an alkylsilane by subjecting a substituted or unsubstituted unsaturated hydrocarbon and hydrosilane to a hydrosilylation reaction in the presence of a platinum-based catalyst, characterized in that the catalyst is irradiated with ultraviolet rays before the start of the reaction. To do A method of making an alkylsilane is provided. As the unsaturated hydrocarbon, unsaturated cyclic hydrocarbon is preferably used. Here, the platinum-based catalyst is preferably irradiated with ultraviolet rays in the presence of hydrosilane and / or unsaturated hydrocarbon.
