abstract (57) [Summary] [Objective] The present invention provides optically active (+)-4,4,4-trifluoro-3- (indole-3-) butyric acid (TFIB). A) and its manufacturing method. [Structure] Racemic TFIBA is reacted with ethyl alcohol to synthesize an ethyl ester of racemic TFIBA, and then an enzyme having an esterase activity is allowed to act to selectively hydrolyze the ester to obtain an optical activity (+). -Obtain TFIBA. Optical activity (+)-TFI BA has a strong rooting promoting action and root elongation promoting action.
