abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Constitution] (1) Mixing a water-soluble monomer and an oil-soluble monomer with a polymerization initiator, a crosslinking component and a chain transfer component; (2) Bulk polymerization is carried out until about 10 to 40% by weight of the monomer is polymerized; (3) The obtained product is cooled; Mix with the polymerized product to formulate a uniform organic phase. (5) Disperse this organic phase in water to form a suspension having an average particle size of about 5 to 25 microns and a particle size distribution of about 1.1 to 1.3. (6) Suspension polymerization Complete the conversion of the monomers; (7) wash the toner product with water; (8) separate the toner composition; (9) dry. [Effect] In the toner production by the fine pulverization method, it is difficult to produce a minute and uniform toner, the production process is complicated, and the product becomes expensive. The method of the present invention avoids or minimizes these drawbacks and makes it possible to produce high performance toners. |
