[Chemical 1] (However, in the formula, R is an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, m is 1 to 10 and n is 1 to 10. [Effect] By using the ethercarboxylic acid of the general formula (1) in the developing solution, the developability is remarkably improved and even minute halftone dots can be easily reproduced.
