abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To obtain an exhaust gas purifying catalyst having the capability of purifying exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine such as an automobile, the composition of which fluctuates greatly, at a high purification rate. In an integrated structure type catalyst having a catalyst component supporting layer, the catalyst component supporting layer comprises activated alumina and cerium oxide, and at least one of platinum and palladium as a catalyst component, and a group consisting of potassium, cesium, strontium and barium. An exhaust gas-purifying catalyst comprising an oxide of at least one selected metal.
