titleOfInvention | Copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene and method for preparing the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] VDF with improved physical properties, especially melt flow. / HFP copolymer to provide the copolymer wherein the improved physical properties are obtained without a significant decrease in the temperature of use of the polymer. [Structure] In producing a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer by emulsion polymerization of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene in an agitated aqueous medium, water, vinylidene fluoride, a polymerization initiator and an initiator and a reaction material during the polymerization are used. About 5% of the total weight of vinylidene fluoride used in the process is charged by adding a water-soluble surfactant capable of emulsifying and. Polymerization of vinylidene fluoride is continued by supplying additional amounts of vinylidene fluoride and an initiator until 0 to 90% is added to the reaction medium, and to the reaction medium for continuous polymerization, (i) to the reaction medium during the process. About 1 to 20 based on the total weight of vinylidene fluoride added and hexafluoropropylene. % Hexafluoropropylene and (ii) the remaining% vinylidene fluoride used in the process is added and a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene copolymer is obtained. |
