Prophylactic or therapeutic agent for Alzheimer's disease containing as an active ingredient, and a drug presumed to be effective as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for Alzheimer's disease, nerve cells and amyloid β protein are incubated to prevent cell death of the nerve cells A screening method for a prophylactic or therapeutic drug for Alzheimer's disease, wherein the drug is determined to be effective as a prophylactic or therapeutic drug for Alzheimer's disease.
