titleOfInvention | Method for forming glassy film |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method of forming a darker blue vitreous coating on a substrate such as glass by using cobalt oxide as a coloring component, and a substrate colored in blue obtained by this method. [Structure] A sol solution containing a hydrolyzed polycondensation product of silicon alkoxide, an organic solvent, a cobalt salt and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycols, trihydric alcohols and saccharides is used as a part of the surface of the substrate. Alternatively, a method for forming a glassy coating on the surface of a substrate, which comprises coating the entire surface and then firing. A substrate having a glassy coating formed by the above method. |
