titleOfInvention Light transmission block
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] It is possible to uniformly diffuse and diffuse lamp light, especially ultraviolet light, and to irradiate the liquid to be treated with ultraviolet light with high efficiency over the entire area where the ultraviolet light is transmitted and diffused. Provided is a light transmission block body adapted to receive the light. [Composition] A closed-cell foam is formed by heat-treating high-purity synthetic silica glass powder of a hot gas phase method with ammonia gas and heat-sealing foaming under reduced pressure. Further, the foam is immersed in a hydrofluoric acid solution to form quartz. The light-transmitting block body 3 is constructed by forming a glass communicating foam and subjecting the foam to the required shape processing of the block.
