(57) Summary [Objective] It is an object to provide a γ-ray resistant textile for medical use and a multi-component fiber for producing such a textile. [Composition] Main continuous linear low density polyethylene phase, At least one discontinuous phase dispersed as a domain throughout the major continuous phase, wherein at least about 70% by weight of the at least one discontinuous phase has a diameter in the range of about 0.05 to about 0.3 μ. And the at least one discontinuous phase contains at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of poly (propylene-co-ethylene) copolymers and polypropylene. |
