abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To obtain a galvanic cell having an increased capacity for a predetermined size and a storage battery using the galvanic cell. A galvanic cell is alternately inserted between each other, and a stack of a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate each having at least two protrusions, and the protrusions are connected to each other to form an electrode plate set of the same polarity. A strap set and strap connecting means for interconnecting the strap sets of the polar plate sets to provide an inter-cell weld.
