(57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a non-aqueous secondary battery having excellent safety, high charge / discharge capacity, and long charge / discharge cycle life. In a non-aqueous secondary battery comprising a positive electrode active material made of a Li-containing transition metal chalcogenide, a negative electrode active material made of a carbonaceous material, and an electrolyte, Cu-K of the carbonaceous material is obtained. The length of the crystallite in the C-axis direction determined from the X-ray diffraction pattern using α rays is in the range of 75 to 250Å, and the interplanar spacing of the 002 plane determined from the X-ray diffraction pattern is 3.4. A non-aqueous secondary battery having a range of 1 to 3.44Å. |
