titleOfInvention Display element
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To realize a display device with low drive voltage and good contrast. [Structure] In a display device in which a polymer and a liquid crystal are aligned and dispersed with each other, the polymer is formed as a mixed system of two shapes of an ellipsoid and a needle. Therefore, a plurality of polymer precursors that are difficult to copolymerize were used. [Effect] It has become possible to manufacture a display element having a driving voltage lower by 20% or more than that of a conventional one, brighter by 30% or more, and good contrast. When this is combined with an active element and mounted on a portable information device as a large-capacity display, The operating time can be greatly extended due to power saving.
