To provide a method for producing a nitrile group-containing highly saturated copolymer rubber capable of maintaining a latex state. [Composition] A nitrile group-containing unsaturated copolymer rubber in a latex state is reacted with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst, In selectively hydrogenating the carbon-carbon double bond in the copolymer rubber, a palladium compound is used as a hydrogenation catalyst, and the amount of the palladium compound in the palladium compound is 0.5 to 10 times mol.
