abstract | (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a ring-opening polymer of norbornenes having excellent oil absorption and a method for producing the powdery ring-opening polymer. [Structure] Norbornenes are subjected to ring-opening polymerization using ruthenium chloride as a catalyst in a poor solvent for a ring-opening polymer of norbornenes containing alcohols. The obtained ring-opening polymer is separated from the polymerization reaction solution, dried and mechanically pulverized. |
