abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide an image forming apparatus capable of mask processing with a simple configuration. [Structure] The exposed light-sensitive material 14 and the image-receiving material 20 are superposed and heated in the presence of an image-forming solvent to diffuse-transfer the dye on the light-sensitive material 14 to the dye-fixing layer on the image-receiving material 20. An image forming apparatus for forming an image on the image receiving material 20 is characterized by including a diffusion pattern control means 102 for controlling the area for diffusion transfer. The diffusion pattern control unit 102 has heat generating elements arranged in a matrix, and can be driven to generate any heat generating element. [Effect] Mask processing can be performed only by energization control without mechanical movement, durability is improved, and drive control is not complicated. |
