abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] General formula (1) [Chemical formula 1] (In the formula, R represents a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl fatty acid residue having 8 to 18 carbon atoms) -Ascorbic acid tetra fatty acid ester derivative. [Effect] The L-ascorbic acid fatty acid ester derivative of the present invention can be obtained easily and in a short time without complicated pre-treatment and post-treatment steps only by a usual acylation reaction, It is stable and does not color. Also, it is freely compatible with oil and is easy to handle. Cosmetics and foods containing this are extremely stable and exhibit vitamin C activity for a long term without discoloration or odor, and are therefore excellent as additives.
