(57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method capable of effectively obtaining a deoxy compound by selectively reducing only a carbonyl group without reducing an αβ unsaturated bond. The method comprises treating an αβ unsaturated ketone with a silyl compound in the presence of a Lewis acid and an alcohol, and selectively reducing the carbonyl group of the αβ unsaturated ketone.
