titleOfInvention | Layered photoreceptor structure with triphenylmethane containing overcoating |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] A substrate, a charge generation layer, and a charge transport layer containing an electrically active transport molecule dissolved or molecularly dispersed in a first electrically inactive polymer binder. And an overcoat layer containing triphenylmethane dissolved or molecularly dispersed in a second electrically inactive polymer binder, wherein the second polymer binder is insoluble in the second solvent. An electrophotographic imaging member in which the polymer binder is soluble and the charge transport layer is substantially free of triphenylmethane molecules and an imaging method using the imaging member. [Effect] When the electrophotographic imaging member of the present invention was evaluated for deficiency by the parking deletion test, the corotron-exposed region of the control member (without overcoat) was very conductive (60%). The loss of positive charge acceptance was very small, indicating that the surface area was stabilized against the corona-induced increase in conductivity. |
