titleOfInvention | Button type alkaline battery |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] An object of the present invention is to provide a high-performance button-type alkaline battery that suppresses the generation of hydrogen gas inside the battery even when mercury is not added, and prevents performance degradation. The present invention provides a button type alkaline battery having a gelled zinc negative electrode composed of zinc alloy powder, an alkaline electrolyte and a gelling agent in a negative electrode case which also serves as a negative electrode current collector. 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of indium compound based on zinc alloy powder in the negative electrode and a surfactant 0.01 stable in alkaline electrolyte It is characterized in that the surface of the negative electrode current collector is in contact with at least the gelled zinc negative electrode and is coated with indium. [Effect] The button-type alkaline battery of the present invention suppresses the generation of hydrogen gas inside the battery even when mercury is not added, and does not cause leakage during storage, swelling of the battery, performance deterioration, etc. The discharge performance is also improved by the mutual effect of the indium coating on the current collector and the indium compound contained in the gelled zinc negative electrode, and performance equal to or higher than that when mercury is added can be obtained. |
