titleOfInvention Method for extracting uranium from uranium-containing solid
abstract (57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a method for extracting uranium from a uranium-containing residue at atmospheric pressure and at a temperature lower than conventional methods. The uranium-containing residue (10) is oxidized, ground, batched to a size suitable for filter pressing, the residue is dissolved in an acid bath, and the acid bath is washed with sodium carbonate / Neutralize with sodium bicarbonate to produce a slurry, filter the slurry to produce a filter cake, wash the filter cake to produce a uranium-containing filtrate stream from which uranium is precipitated.
