abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Structure] Fluorescent labeling reagent comprising a hydrophilic polyfunctional polymer labeled with a cyanine dye represented by the general formula (1), a semiconductor of 750 to 850 nm using the reagent. Fluorescent immunoassay using a laser as an excitation light source, a fluorescent immunoassay comprising a hydrophilic polyfunctional macromolecule labeled with a fluorescent dye and a physiologically active substance directly or indirectly bound to the hydrophilic polyfunctional macromolecule A fluorescent immunoassay kit, wherein the fluorescent dye is a cyanine dye represented by the general formula (1). According to the present invention, an infrared semiconductor laser can be used as an excitation light source in fluorescence immunoassay. Further, it is easy to prepare a labeling reagent using a cyanine dye. Further, according to the present invention, highly sensitive and low-cost immunoassay can be performed, and the downsizing and cost of the measuring device can be realized.
