titleOfInvention | Photographic coupler dispersion and method of forming the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a microcrystalline photographic coupler dispersion having a reduced tendency to crystallize and a method for forming the same. The photographic coupler dispersion of the present invention comprises colloidal microcrystalline coupler particles that are wet with an activatable, water-incompatible organic solvent. The method for forming a microcrystalline coupler dispersion of the present invention comprises the steps of providing a crystalline coupler in the form of an aqueous suspension, dispersing the coupler by mechanical shearing, the coupler dispersion and an activating water-insoluble phase. It comprises the steps of combining with a soluble organic solvent and mixing the combined dispersion. |
