abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Purpose] A segmented ionomeric copolymer that improves sag resistance when blended with a polyolefin. (A) Polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutylene, poly (4-methylpentene), a copolymer of the above polyolefins, and a small amount of the above polyolefin and 1-alkene, vinyl ester, vinyl chloride, A non-polar polyolefin backbone selected from (meth) acrylic esters and one or more copolymers with (meth) acrylic acid; (b) a backbone having a weight ratio of about 1: 9 to about 4: 1. At least one methacrylate chain covalently grafted with a polymer derived from at least about 80% of the monomers of the methacrylic ester, and further comprising from about 1% to about 20% by weight of an acidic monomer, Methacrylate chains are about 1000 to 200,0 A methacrylate chain having a molecular weight of 00; and (C) an ionomer-forming additive. |
