titleOfInvention | Method and apparatus for molding fiber reinforced plastic |
abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Purpose] To reduce the pressure required to impregnate the fiber reinforced material with the resin, and also to correct the shrinkage that accompanies the hardening of the resin during molding. It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel molding method of a fiber-reinforced plastic molded product obtained. [Structure] A pair of molds for forming a cavity 3, a liquid reservoir 12 and a flow path 10 for communicating these by preparing mating surfaces 6 and 7 of an upper mold 1 and a lower mold 2 are prepared. After placing the fiber reinforced material, the upper mold and the lower mold are combined and clamped, and an amount of liquid resin larger than the amount required to impregnate the fiber reinforced material and smaller than the volume of the liquid reservoir is applied. The liquid is injected from the injector 9 into the liquid reservoir, most of the liquid resin is stored in the liquid reservoir, and while the resin is held in the liquid reservoir so as to be liquid or flowable, the liquid reservoir is filled with compressed gas. Then, by pressurizing, the resin is sent from the liquid reservoir to the cavity, the resin is impregnated with the resin, and then the resin is cured integrally with the fiber reinforcing material. |
