abstract (57) Summary An object of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article including a pair of containment flaps which is particularly suitable for use in absorbent articles having a relatively narrow crotch portion. The containment flap includes an inner edge and an outer edge. The inner edge is adhered to the bodyside liner of the absorbent article, while the outer edge is adhered to the bodyside liner outside the inner edge. Alternatively, the inner and outer edges are glued to the bodyside liner so that the containment flap forms a C-shaped fold. The C-shaped fold may be either inward or outward.
