abstract | (57) Summary: Objective To modify T-functional and MQ-functional polymers to improve their compatibility with onium salt catalysts. In one embodiment, a T-functional epoxy silicone or M H Q material is added to 4-acetoxystyrene (ASM) and vinylcyclohexene oxide (VCH). Modification with O) enhances the solubility of the onium salt in these materials. In addition to 4-acetoxystyrene, numerous other types of styrenic or olefinic compounds are used in the reaction with T- and MQ functional hydridosiloxanes to produce aromatic modified T- and MQ functional silicones, An epoxy silicone can be produced by reacting this with an epoxy group. Blending fillers with these materials produces excellent flexible coatings and elastomers. |
