abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To prevent the "warp" of the collector electrode and the "crack" phenomenon at the electrode interface due to thermal stress during battery operation, Provided is a method for producing a collector electrode for a zinc-bromine battery, which maintains good water tightness of an electrolytic solution and enhances battery performance. A rectangular recess 17 having a predetermined area and depth is formed in a central portion of a plane on one side of an insulating frame 16 having a rectangular flat plate shape and a packing groove 18 is excavated in an outer peripheral portion of a bottom surface to form the packing groove. A carbon plastic electrode 15 in which a packing material 19 is arranged in 18 and the current collecting mesh 6 is sandwiched and sandwiched in advance by heat pressing means. Is fitted into the recess 17 of the insulating frame 16 to form a collector electrode. Aflas rubber is used as the packing material 19, and the size of the packing material 19 and the size of the packing groove 18 are determined so that the compression rate of the packing material 19 is within the range of 25 to 30%. |
