abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] A method for producing porous polyester beads capable of being polymerized in a solid state into a high molecular weight resin at a very high rate. [Structure] The present invention specifically provides (1) polyester. Dissolving the prepolymer in a suitable organic solvent to form a polyester prepolymer solution; (2) Dropping a droplet of the polyester prepolymer solution into the coagulation bath to form porous polyester beads; (3) Coagulation bath Recovering the porous polyester beads from the; (4) removing residual organic solvent from the porous beads; and (5) solid-state polymerizing the porous polyester beads at high temperature to produce an ultra high molecular weight polyester resin.
