(57) [Abstract] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing a hydrodesulfurization catalyst for hydrocarbon oil with excellent physical properties and in high yield. [Structure] (a) at least one of an aluminum alkoxide, an aluminum chelate compound and a cyclic aluminum oligomer; (b) at least one compound of a Group VIB metal of the periodic table; and (c) a Group VIII metal. A mixture of at least one compound and a solvent is mixed in a solvent, and the resulting active ingredient is dried to give a gel, which is calcined to form a composite containing a Group VIB metal, a Group VIII metal and aluminum of the periodic table. In the method for producing a hydrodesulfurization catalyst composed of an oxide, firing is performed at a heating rate of 0.4. The temperature is raised from room temperature to 400 to 600 ° C. at −2.5 ° C./min, and the temperature is maintained for 2 hours or more. |
