(57) [Summary] [Construction] A method for developing an embryo is provided, which comprises in vitro culturing a fertilized bovine egg in the presence of a metalloprotease inhibitor in a serum-free medium having a known composition. [Effect] Since it is not necessary to use a serum-containing medium in the method of the present invention, there is no concern about variations in embryogenesis results depending on lots of serum and infection with pathogens such as viruses derived from serum. |
