abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] The online reference is specified in the mail item having the position marks 52 and 54. The mail item and the location mark are then transmitted to the recipient. The recipient reviews its references 44, 48 while selecting the location mark in the mail. The online service is then automatically invoked, where it presents the above reference to the recipient. Upon completion of viewing the recipient, return control to the mail system. Effect: The recipient does not have to leave the mail service and activate the online service to reconsider the quoted reference in the mail item.
