titleOfInvention Substituted indanone manufacturing method
abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Structure] The indanone of formula IV or IVa is obtained by converting compound I into formula It is obtained in a one-step reaction by reacting the compound of formula II or the compound of formula III in hydrogen fluoride and then reacting with boron trifluoride. [Effect] 1-indanone having different substituents can be obtained in a yield of a theoretical amount by one step, and the space-time yield can be considerably improved as compared with the conventional method. Also, by slightly changing the reaction conditions, the product selectivity can be optimized. (R 1 to R 7 are preferably hydrogen or alkyl, or the adjacent groups R 1 to R 4 form a ring.)
