titleOfInvention Humidity sensitive glass article and method of reinforcing the surface thereof
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Objective] To provide a humidity-sensitive glass article and a method for reinforcing the surface thereof. In the above process, (A) an acid and an aqueous solution of a silane hydrolysis product containing simultaneously a silicon-linked hydrolyzable group and a functional group sensitive to the acid should be reinforced. Contacting the surface, then (B) contacting the surface to be reinforced with an aqueous alkaline solution of sodium silicate and / or potassium silicate, and contacting the surface of the glass as a result of steps (A) and (B) above. The applied coating is dried and cured.
