titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for measuring sound velocity or absorption value of sound wave
abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a method and apparatus for measuring the sound velocity or absorption value of a sound wave passing through a liquid sample, which can be applied to measurement in a high temperature range. [Configuration] Using piezoelectric elements 33, 34 When measuring the sound velocity c or the absorption value α of the sound wave of the liquid sample 36, the measurement is performed while cooling the first and second buffer rods 15 and 16 with water 42 as a cooling medium. Therefore, the measuring device 11 is provided with a water cooling jacket 38, a cooler 41, and the like, which are cooling means for flowing a cooling medium through the first and second buffer rods 15 and 16 to cool them. The piezoelectric elements 33, 34 in this measuring apparatus 11 are preferably made of a polymeric piezoelectric material, and the buffer rods 15, 16 are preferably made of stainless steel.
