(57) [Summary] [Purpose] The antagonism of NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptors, which are receptors for excitatory amino acids such as glutamic acid and aspartic acid, which are neurotransmitters in the brain and spinal cord. The present invention provides a compound which has an effective treatment of diseases such as senile dementia which responds to the antagonism of the receptor. [Structure] A novel tryptophan derivative represented by the following chemical formula 1 has an NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartic acid) receptor antagonism, and treats diseases such as senile dementia which responds to the antagonism of the receptor. Is effective for. [Chemical 1] |
