Method for producing sodium azide |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Structure] Nitrogen oxide-containing gas having an O / N ratio of 1.5 to 1.6 obtained by oxidation of ammonia, and liquid methanol. Methyl nitrite, which is gaseous at room temperature, and a methanol solution of hydrazine and sodium hydroxide, which are produced by a gas-liquid contact reaction with a methanol at a temperature of 0 to 60 ° C. It is a method for producing sodium azide in which a gas-liquid contact reaction is performed at a temperature of 70 ° C. to crystallize sodium azide. [Effect] By producing methyl nitrite from inexpensive ammonia as a raw material, highly pure sodium azide can be produced much more efficiently and economically than the conventional method. |
