titleOfInvention Nonlinear optical material and optical wavelength conversion element using the same
abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] Light generated by second harmonic generation, consisting of a crystal with sufficient size and hardness to be processed into a device crystal, with a light absorption edge at a short wavelength and good thermal conductivity. An excellent nonlinear optical material having high wavelength conversion efficiency and an excellent optical wavelength conversion element using the same are provided. [Structure] A nonlinear optical material composed of lithium p-cyanophenoxide is obtained by a neutralization reaction of p-cyanophenol and lithium carbonate. Crystal growth of this material is performed, The obtained crystal is cut out to obtain a light wavelength conversion crystal 14, This is inserted into the optical resonator 16 constituted by the end face of the laser oscillation crystal 13 and the face of the mirror 15 to manufacture an optical wavelength conversion element.
