titleOfInvention | Method for producing cellulose ether using cyclic ether as suspending agent |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] From the cellulose and the alkylating agent in the presence of water and a base and at least one water-miscible cyclic ether as a suspending agent, the following step a) alkalinization b) The water-miscible cyclic ether is already used for the first time in step a) or, if appropriate, step b), in a process for the preparation of cellulose ethers which comprises alkylation. [Effect] The yield from the etherifying agent used is high, and therefore the cost effect is good, and the uniformly etherified cellulose ether can be obtained. Further, a cellulose ether having increased stability against enzymatic degradation can be obtained. |
