abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] A continuous reinforced concrete underground wall or vertical shaft retaining wall was constructed at the mouth of the well, and strong ground improvement work was carried out at the front part of the shield as protection work for the excavation part. To provide a technology to start a shield machine and to reach a reaching shaft, which can omit all the work of demolishing middle continuous walls and shaft retaining walls. [Structure] A plurality of anchor cables 4a and 4b are arranged in a wellhead portion 3 preset on a shaft wall 2 of a starting shaft 1 so that the anchor cables 4a and 4b can be pulled out from the inside of the shafthole, and the shafthole 3 is to be excavated. The starting shaft 1 is sunk at a predetermined position in accordance with the position of 1., the shield machine 7 is installed in the starting shaft 1, the temporary segment 8 is assembled behind the shield machine 7, and a reaction force is applied to the temporary segment 8. While the shield machine 7 is propelled to excavate the wellhead 3 by the shield machine 7, the anchor cables 4a and 4b are pulled out immediately before the tip end of the shield machine 7 comes into contact with the row of the anchor cables 4a and 4b, and the wellhead portion is again opened. 3 was excavated and configured to pass.
