abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] In a urethane system containing powder having biodegradability, it can be used without liquefying the powder, and the powder will fall off when made into a foam. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing a biodegradable polyurethane-based foam which is strong and has a high biodegradation rate. [Structure] When a polyol component and a polyisocyanate component are reacted under foaming conditions to obtain a foam, 15 to 150 parts by weight of a monosaccharide is made to coexist with 100 parts by weight of the polyol component. It is also preferable to coexist with other biodegradable substances together with the monosaccharide.
