abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide a method for producing a puff base material, which can easily and surely produce a puff excellent in flexibility, softness, skin feel, and the like and which is comfortable to use. [Constitution] Water-soluble rubber latex emulsion (NBR Aqueous emulsion of vulcanizing agent (powdered sulfur), surfactant (potassium oleate), thickener (sodium alginate) and gelling agent (sodium fluorosilicate) are added to the latex composition, and air is mixed. After stirring and stirring, the aerated latex composition is heated and foamed to produce a puffing base material having a predetermined shape. A surfactant is added to 100 parts by weight of the solid content in the latex emulsion. 0.35 to 0.50 parts by weight, and a thickener (solid content) of 0.0 1 to 0.10 parts by weight are mixed, the pH of the latex composition is adjusted to 11.7 to 12.0, and the stirring speed is 160 rpm. The above is characterized in that the amount of air mixed is adjusted so that the expansion ratio of the latex composition is 9 to 11 times.
