titleOfInvention | Polyphenylene ether-polyamide composition |
abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Composition] Selected from the group consisting of phenyl 4-aminosalicylate trimellitamide, acetyl 4-aminosalicylic acid trimellitamide, and acetyl 5-aminosalicylic acid trimellitoamide. A trimellitamide capped polyphenylene ether composition prepared by melt mixing of at least one trimellitamide with at least one polyphenylene ether by applying vacuum, and at least one polyamide. A composition comprising from about 5 to 75% by weight of polyphenylene ether and from about 25 to 95% by weight of polyamide, further comprising end blocks derived from styrene and a central block derived from at least one of isoprene and butadiene. By Triblock Cobolimer Also included are some elastomeric impact modifiers. [Effect] The total hydroxyl content is low, and the thermo-oxidative stability is significantly improved. |
