| abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide an irreversible opening revealing system for button closures. [Structure] The color change system consists of a dark colored base coat 3. 5 has a display coat 36. The indicator coat is preferably tinted with a light clear tinting agent such as an orange tinted fluorescent dye. The indicator coat is preferably a liquid material that can be cured by evaporation, heat, ultraviolet light, etc. to form a solid layer. The first color is observed when the substrate layer and the display layer are in close contact. Depending on the relative colors used for the substrate and the display layer, this first color may be a combination of the colors of the two layers or may be predominantly the color of the substrate layer. However, when the layers are separated and the outer layer is spaced from the inner layer, a second color, predominantly the color of the display coat, is observed. |
