abstract (57) [Summary] [Objective] To obtain a novel sugar-modified peptide having a prolonged action duration and useful as a drug. [Structure] The hydroxyl group of tyrosine in the physiologically active peptide is Formula (I) in which a carboxyl group at one end and a hydroxyl group at the other end are ester-bonded to the carboxyl group of an alkane or polyethylene glycol derivative, and the hydroxyl group at the other end of the alkane or polyethylene glycol derivative is ether-bonded to the hydroxyl group of the sugar. A sugar-modified peptide represented by. Pep. -OCO-R-O-Sac. (I) (In the formula, Pep. Represents a physiologically active peptide, and R represents - (CH 2) n - group or a -CH 2 CH 2 CH 2 - ( OCH 2 CH 2) m - represents a group, n is 1 to 20, m is 1 to 10, Sac. Represents a sugar residue)
