abstract (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To form an X-ray image, improve the SN ratio and simplify the forming method. [Structure] A panel having a layered structure, the panel including a conductive layer composed of a plurality of discrete microplates having the same size as an area occupied by pixels of an image, and a plurality of access layers provided on the panel. Equipped with electrodes and electronics, the microplate is accessed to form and read the resulting X-ray latent image in the panel in the form of stored charges.
